If you would like to learn more about the study before you begin, please read below.
As a parent, caregiver, or guardian of a child in a Canadian school, your knowledge and experience are very important.
This survey is being conducted by a team of researchers and clinicians who want to improve our understanding of school attendance and child and youth wellbeing. We are particularly interested in parents/caregivers/guardians of youth with ADHD and families that have immigrated to Canada.
To thank you for your participation, you can choose to be entered into a draw to win a variety of e-gifts.
What is the survey about?
The survey is a part of a study to assess the efficacy of a newly developed questionnaire that measures school absenteeism experiences of students of all ages. Questions that ask about your child’s school attendance, demographics (e.g., cultural identity, gender), how your child functions in other areas (e.g., mental health, with peers) as well as your beliefs of your child’s education will be included. Your participation is voluntary.
Your participation in this study will help to further the understanding and measurement of school absenteeism of children and youth. This can improve efforts to intervene and reduce chronic school absenteeism of students of all ages.
How long will the survey take?
